Applications are open for the HackCodeX coding hackathon, which will take place on June 3-5 in the beautiful city of Riga, Latvia. The event returns for its 2023 edition bringing together technology enthusiasts from all over Europe.

HackCodeX is an international hackathon that brings together the best and brightest minds in coding across Europe. Participants will have the opportunity to network with fellow coders, learn from industry experts, and gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies. During the 48-hour hackathon, participants will develop new ideas for challenges presented by leading IT companies and compete for valuable prizes. Additionally the participants will have access to international mentors, workshops given by industry experts and many informal networking events.

HackCodeX is open to participants of all skill levels, from beginner to expert. The event is a unique opportunity for tech enthusiasts to challenge themselves, develop their skills, and gain experience in a supportive and collaborative environment meeting hundreds of other developers. HackCodeX is free and open to everyone, primarily programmers but also web designers, students and entrepreneurs with a passion for technology. In 2022, HackCodeX brought together more than 300 industry professionals from 12 European countries and saw 43 teams develop solutions to six coding challenges.

"We want to create an exciting experience for our participants and promote Riga among tech talent as an exciting innovation destination."
In addition to the hackathon, there will be a one-day conference with several discussions and workshops on the latest computer technology and programming topics. The main focus will be on artificial intelligence solutions, quantum programming, as well as cyber security challenges. The forum will provide a unique opportunity for participants to gain insights from international experts and network with industry leaders.

HackCodeX is organised for the second year by the innovation company Helve to develop innovation and foster co-creation for companies by collaborating with young talents. Additionally, the hackathon is an opportunity to build international collaborations, develop the tech community and mark Riga as an exciting destination for young talent. HackCodeX is supported by information technology company Emergn and Atea Global Services, part of the Atea Group.
